Program Information

Beginning with a knowledge of human body structure and function, students and teachers are encouraged to learn more about how the use of tobacco products affects themselves.

Science, Tobacco & You provides multisensory experiences, through which students explore the harmful effects of tobacco on their bodies, strategies for handling peer pressure to use tobacco products, and the role that advertising plays in promoting tobacco addiction. Each package contains a box of manipulatives (all the equipment necessary for up to 250 students to conduct over 22 activities), a printed student/teacher Guidebook, an interactive CD-ROM, and this Website.
