Stomach Cancer

Tobacco use has been shown to increase the risk of stomach cancer. Smoking delays the healing of stomach ulcers, a condition that occurs frequently among smokers.

Scientists believe that constant inflammation of the lining of the stomach, as in the case of stomach ulcers, leads to cancer, but they do not know exactly how this happens.
