Pharynx Cancer

Scientists have found that cancer of the pharynx (located in the area of the throat) is linked to smoking. This cancer forms over time when the sensitive tissues of the throat are constantly attacked by smoke and chemicals found in tobacco. About 2,100 people in the United States die every year from cancer of the pharynx.
